MINI COWS

MEET OUR

AKA: The pasture rascals.

Meet Winnie, Mateo, Penny, and Hazel. Winnie and Mateo are micro-mini highland cows, and Penny and Hazel are mid-sized mini cows (can you tell the difference?) They love taking walks in the pasture and snuggling with visitors. If you want to be their best-friend, try brushing them or giving them treats! Selfies are also their jam – They love taking selfies with guests that come to visit Swartz Farm!

GOATS

MEET OUR

What started as a mere two baby goats…quickly turned into a party-sized herd (and there’s no baaaad about it!)

At Swartz Farm, we now currently have over 20 cuddly pygmy goats. They spend their time enjoying cuddles during baby goat yoga and begging our farm guests for extra attention and treats!!!

ALPACAS

MEET OUR

Tia, Cocoa, and Cheerio are gentle, curious animals that love to talk and hum to new guests. They enjoy animal walks on the farm and snacking on treats. During winter, their teddy-bear like appearance is most prominent, keeping them warm in cool temperatures. In Spring, the alpacas are sheared, and the fiber is cleaned and woven into yarn.

MEET OUR

MINI HORSES

Our sweet mini horses Lilac and Midnight. They love being brushed and going for walks with new friends who visit the Farm. Lilac and Midnight are training to hopefully participate in saddle riding with young children. They are very social and like to follow us when we walk in field. Typically you can find them looking for treats in our pockets, especially a juicy apple or two!

SHEEP

MEET OUR

We raise wool sheep on our farm. We have babydoll and cheviot mixes. The babydoll breed is a miniature sheep breed that also gives the sheep a teddy-bear like appearance. The sheep do a great job of maintaining the fields at Swartz Farm. We shear our sheep in March and have their wool processed for yarn, wool dryer balls, hats, scarves, and more for our Farm Shop! The wool from the sheep helps increase a sense of sustainability on our Farm.

BUNNIES

MEET OUR

Most of the animals on our farm are miniature breeds… but not our adorable, yet gargantuan bunnies: Oreo, Willow, & Honey! We have both Giant Flemish and rare Continental breed rabbits on our farm. You can find them hopping around the barn and scavenging for treats. Believe it or not… their favorite is not carrots, but actually fruit!

CHICKENS

MEET OUR

We primarily raise red novagens and easter egger chickens for our egg layers. We also have a unique chicken breed called silkie chickens. They have long feathers from their head to their toes! Our chickens are pasture raised and are fed a Non- GMO feed. We have a mobile chicken coop which allow us to move our chickens to fresh pasture. You can find their fresh eggs in our farm stand year round.
